Announcement:

To All 2011 Seminar Registrants:

Due to the downturn in the national economy, registration numbers for this summer's program are down significantly.  For that reason we have decided to cancel this summer's program.  We will, of course, fully reimburse all monies paid, and we will also reimburse those who incur any fees or penalties for cancelation of flight reservations.  We deeply regret this decision, but we had little choice.  We look forward to seeing you next summer.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Robert R. Rose, III
Director

Our Mission:

For thirty-two years, the same outstanding national faculty have met each summer in Laramie, Wyoming nestled in the high plains of Wyoming below the Snowy Mountains at the University of Wyoming Law School and shared for a week their knowledge, experience, and compassion for criminal defense.  They come together to share with you, their students, creative, innovative, and exhilarating ways of defending the citizen accused.  They strive to make you the best possible criminal defense attorney as you continue to remain liberty's last champion and the defender of the constitution.

Program:

Now in its thirty-second year, the Western Trial Advocacy Institute continues to offers one of the most unique and exciting trial communication skills seminars in the country.  Designed expressly for criminal defense attorneys, the Institute emphasizes the special interactions between and among lawyers, jurors, judges, and witnesses.  Participants learn not just "how" thing happen in the courtroom but also "why."  They learn by doing with feedback from the faculty and their peers.

From the director:

I am pleased with the success of Western Trial Advocacy Institute and it derives from the meeting each summer of the best faculty from around the country who have been teaching here for over twenty-five years.  We also have each year new faculty and together the faculty give freely of themselves in Laramie, promoting the best possible criminal defense attorneys.

Come join us in July in Laramie, regardless of your level of trial experience, and share with us the camaraderie at the Western Trial Advocacy Institute as you learn new and creative ways of trial tactics.
