The Western Trial Advocacy Institute provides an informal atmosphere to interact with outstanding trial criminal defense attorneys in the country along with the opportunity to experience some of the uniqueness of a Western experience during the summer on the high cool pleasant plains of Laramie, Wyoming.   Laramie is known for its mild warm afternoons in the mid-eighties under bright blue crystal clear days, often with large puffy cumulus clouds late in the afternoon and cool crisp evenings perfect for sleeping...or instead sampling the many evening establishments including infamous western bars such as the Buckhorn (see for example, Sturgis v. State, 932 P.2d 199 (Wyo. 1997) in which the word assignation is used and the Buckhorn Bar is featured in a fracas between the piano player and a patron) and the world famous Cowboy bar.
