Admittedly, the one thing that I never believed was possible was to win the "impossible public defender cases." At the Western Trial Advocacy Institute, I was told that it was possible, but I remained skeptical. At my first trial after attending Western Trial, I was able to gain the jury's trust. I controlled the witnesses and got exactly what I wanted from them. I had a story of innocence that made sense to real people. I talked like a real person. I related with the life experiences and values of the jurors. I dared to be a great advocate. The WTAI and the techniques that i was taught, instantly made me the most powerful, credible, and trustworthy person in the courtroom. The feeling was indescribable. It was the most rewarding professional experience of my life to this point, and i pray that everyone in this profession has the opportunity to experience WTAI for themselves at some point. The jury was out for 4 hours and came back unanimously on their first vote with a NOT GUILTY on all 13 counts. Tommy, Oklahoma County.
